Cucielo Cocktail Speed Competition, but it’s not just about speed, quality is important too!

Each participant must make a shaken and stirred cocktail of our choice.

Format: To start, individual qualification time trials will be held. After that, the top four will come together for a head-to-head elimination round. This will proceed until we are left with an overall winner and second place runner up.

The scoring - Quality: This will be scored out of ten for each drink (20 points total)- you must gain a total of at least 14 points between both drinks to have your time accepted and put on the score board. If the quality isn’t there (under 14 combined points), you will be automatically eliminated from the competition. The quality scoring will be based off balance & taste (0-5), technique (0-3), presentation (0-2). If you achieve 14+ points, your cocktail making time will be counted and added to the leader board. Penalties: 5 secs will be added to your overall time for spillages/messy station. Wrong glassware or over/under pour will result in 10 seconds added to your time. The final four will be contacted and asked to return by 3:45pm to compete in a head-to-head for the final prizes.
